 | GODS GIFT   God's Gift is Fares Hadid, Reeve Downes, Daniel Taeger, Mike Hartinger, Mark T. Wright GOD’S GIFT came together in late 2022 when jamming buddies Daniel Taeger, Mark T. Wright and Mike Hartinger teamed up with singer Fares Gabriel Hadid and ex Rhino Bucket bassist Reeve Downes. Inspired by classic hard rockers like AC/DC, Aerosmith and as singer Hadid says, “everything good about kick-ass rock n roll”, the band quickly wrote and recorded an 11-song album in their home base of Regensburg, Germany and Barcelona, Spain. The recording plays to the band’s strengths featuring airtight songwriting, sexy, bluesy guitars and soulful vocals that reveal Hadid to be one of the best vocalists in rock. Songs such as “Call Me Bad” and “Ain’t Going Back” are anchored by massive guitar riffs and pointed lyrics. The quintet decided on the name “GOD’S GIFT” after listening to Tom Petty’s tongue in cheek rocker “God’s Gift to Man”. Guitarist Wright explains, God’s gift is a sarcastic expression in English as in “she thinks she is God’s Gift to man”. Gift means poison in the German language. We liked the play on words and being that the band has both American and German members we thought the name was a good fit. While continuing to work on new material the group plans to spend the remainder on 2023 playing live in order to, as drummer Hartinger says, “let people know what we are all about”. |

 | SIXELLE Sixelle is a band. Fünf Schulfreunde gründeten die Band während der Pandemie. Wir verbrachten die Lockdowns im Keller und machten Magic. Banger Musik mit Punk-, Gunge- und Hard Rock-Einflüssen. Es geht um Liebe, Verletzlichkeit, Freundschaft und Wut - ein lebensbejahendes Gefühl in Zeiten großer Unsicherheit. Menschlichkeit in einer verrückt gewordenen Welt. Dem Gefühl der Machtlosigkeit und der Passivität kommt Sixelle zuvor: laut, mitreißend, unangepasst. Mit dem Publikum für eine Zeit verschmelzen - eine Einheit der Hoffnung, der Freude und des Aufbegehrens bilden. Gemeinsame Erinnerungen schaffen. |
